Current News & Events Blog

Our regular meetings for Wednesday 3/18 and 4/1 are being canceled due to the current health emergency in NYS and Chautauqua County. Nearly all gathering places are being asked not to open. The club will continue to conduct necessary business remotely through conference calls or whatever way possible. The Landowner Appreciation Dinner that we had planned is also canceled due to the restrictions put upon us. A mailing will go out shortly to them explaining our situation. We do still need help pulling signs and feel we are “health-safe” outdoors. If anyone is available this Saturday (3/21), please contact the Trail Captain of the area that you can help with. “Social Distancing” is the term officials like to use.

Thanks, Chris Jaynes, CLSC president.

CLSC trails are open at this time with marginal conditions. Please use caution when riding, downed trees, water holes, thin fields may be throughout the trail system. If you come across low snow conditions please turn around.

CLSC trails will close at midnight tonight 2/17 due to deteriorating conditions caused by warming temps and rain in the forecast. Please check back and we will update the site as conditions change.

C-4 between Clymer and French creek is already closed due to deteriorating conditions caused by warming temps. Please stay off these areas until we get more snow.

CLSC trails are OPEN 2/14/2020. Many trails have been groomed with hopes of freezing during overnight low temps. Please come to Mayville's President's Day Weekend Winter Festival. See the Snow Castle and everything else going on ! Ride safe !.

CLSC trails will be closed as of 11:59PM on 2/9. Warmer temps, water and mud holes opening up everywhere and fields are losing snow. We will update this message when conditions change.

CLSC trails will open at 6:00 AM Saturday 2/08/20 with the exception of Busti, Panama, and Clymer areas. The Mayville to Brocton to Stockton loop is open, but avoid near Brocton trails with S-45 bypass. There are wet spots and ice-laden branches hanging over the trails in many places, but all are passable. Enjoy and ride safe.
