Welcome to Snowmobiling In Chautauqua New York
The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded over 40 seasons ago for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches, its volunteers maintain over 200 miles of scenic trails. These are linked to local service businesses and other clubs in the county. Our clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all 2300+ CLSC members and has comfort facilities as well as a mini kitchen.

Our club currently operates 9 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm September through April, and the 1st Wednesday May through August. There are fun family activities from dinner rides to bonfires throughout the season for everyone that wants to have fun in the snow. We invite you to join our group of active snowmobile enthusiasts and get to know us and make this your personal trail system! Click Here To Join Our Club

Work Party Saturday January 28th
We are having a work party this Saturday the 28th @ 9AM to clean up the trails after the wind storms the past two weeks. We are meeting at the clubhouse on Hannum Rd. Bring gloves, chain saws, ATV's or just yourself. Any help is appreciated.

TRAILS CLOSED - NO BASE
Well Mother Nature was a letdown once again in the snow department. Not enough snow fell last night to open the trails this weekend and warmer weather and 50 degree temps are on the way. This will for sure have us starting over once again waiting for the next big storm.

With the little snow also brought out careless riders out riding on our closed trails upsetting landowners. These are in no doubt local riders so they should know better. We continue to express how important it is to stay off these trails until opened. Everyone wants to ride, however there are 1% of riders that don’t think rules apply to them. If you see one of these riders, express your concern to them letting them know they are ruining it for you and your fellow riders that obey the rules.

Making them feel like a second class citizen might be enough for them to get the point!

Why "Trails Closed" Means TRAILS CLOSED
Due to the lack of respect from some riders, landowners nearly closed a 9 mile stretch of trail from French Creek to Pine Junction and also S52 toward the Busti we have worked over 10 years to put together has been closed for the season. The trail from French Creek to Pine Junction is open again due to a gracious landowner so lets keep it that way. We cannot express how meaningful it is to stay off the trails as we only have so many landowners in our county. The continual lack of respect from a few roage riders will make riding in the county impossible if we don’t have landowner support. Click Here To Read Full Article
