Trails are in fair condition as we lost a bit of snow over the weekend. Some water holes are popping up and snow is thin in some areas. We are expecting a little more snow overnight and Monday, however with warmer temps on the way this week will be the end of the season. Trails close April 1st no matter how much snow we have on the ground.

CLSC trails will be re-opening Thursday 3/21/13 and hope to remain open through the weekend. The other Clubs are not open yet. Be aware of where you are and stay on our trails. We are expecting more snow to help cover where some fields are thin in places. Trails to Westfield & Brocton remain closed. Be careful where the snow coverage is minimal. There may be a few blow-downs or water holes or missing signs.

The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club has CLOSED its trails due to wet and warm conditions. There are many bare sections and areas that have totally lost the snow. We will evaluate as conditions change and update accordingly. Please stay off the trails until they are officially re-opened. Thank you.

NOTICE..... Warm temps and rain today are degrading trail conditions to LIMITED. Please do not ride on low or no snow-covered trails. We are hoping for enough new snow to improve our chances of staying open for the weekend. Places in North Clymer, Clymer, & French Creek have open fields and/or bare RR beds. Higher elevations have more snow and are expecting more.

Trails are open with conditions being good for riding. Some rain and a bit of warm weather are making trails hard to groom but acceptable. Get out and ride while you can as warmer weather is on the way.

The Chautauqua County Clubs are checking trails and plan to open tonight. Be cautious of blow-downs, water, and marginal snow coverage. Brocton has low snow as well as the trail to Busti which is closed waiting for more snow. Check the County snow phone for other limitations.

Trails are now closed due to warm temps and prediction of rain. The sun was busy melting all day Sunday, opening up water holes and creating muddy exposed surfaces. Trails will re-open when winter conditions return.

Mother Nature dropped 8+ inches of snow in the area with some areas getting more than others. Trails have been groomed and are in good condition with open holes here or there so please use caution. We are also having our 4th of July party this weekend behind the French Creek tavern just look for the signs on the trail. Warmer temperatures are coming so get out and enjoy today while you can!!

Trails are open on a very Limited basis. They are in Poor Condition because of low snow coverage and wet conditions. We are hoping for light traffic to pack in snow down close to the ground and think it may freeze before it turns to mud. Cherry Creek is still experiencing low snow and flooded areas. The towns of Cherry Creek, Forestville, and Cassadaga are not rideable. Ellery is still closed. Do not ride in areas that appear to have degraded. Watch out for downed trees and water holes. Trails may close at any time.

Trails are still closed as of today Friday(2/1). There is a lot of water and flooded areas that may require re-routs. The 60’ bridge on C-4D DeWittville trail is washed into the creek and will take a big effort and heavy equipment to reset it. Probably it will also have some damage to it. Some areas have a lot of fresh snow on top of mud. Other spots are wind-blown clean. The ground is not frozen. Westfield & Brocton do not have enough snow. We are checking for downed trees after the high winds [again]. The winter is turning out to be a lot of work for us few. Will Update message once conditions change.

Trails are in fair condition at this time, and continue to freeze up due to the cold temperatures at night. With the sled traffic and the snow finally settled it does groom a little better and some holes are beginning to fill in. Groomers are back running with the exception of the Mayville groomer, which should be running this weekend, just in time for the poker run. Fields that were wind-blown are still very thin in spots, so please use caution in these areas and take it easy. Trails in the woods where wind wasn’t such a factor are forming nicely. Overall, conditions will be nice for this weekend’s events although a little rough in spots, so we hope to see you out there. S-52 is now open, but snow is still thin so you might want to find an alternate route if you don’t need to use the trail. Stay right, stay safe and use caution as there will be a lot of riders out this weekend including families.

Trails are open at this time with the area receiving over a foot of snow in most spots. Temperatures have been in the low teens for a couple days and freezing things up nicely. Winds have blown the fluffy white snow all over, which has bare fields and is nearly impossible to groom well. There was also a wind storm in the area blowing debris over the trails so please use caution. With the powder snow conditions are poor to marginal at this time, once things thaw a bit we might be able to get a better groom with another weather front coming through this weekend. Some trails are not groomed and we still have some wet spots. S-52 toward Busti closed due to lack of snow. There are 3 groomers down. Mayville's machine is stuck on C-4 with a blown track. We hope to move it today if possible. Conditions will update if they change.

Trails are still closed at this time, but the Chautauqua Clubs are out clearing trees and debris from the trails from the high winds we had. Also, the snowfall is very uneven. For example, Clymer, French Creek, and Findley Lake do not have enough snow to open, with as little as 5” in some areas. Other areas like Westfield & Brocton have 16” or more. We will wait to see what the next day or two bring us before we decide what we can do. Thanks for your patience, Chris Jaynes.

With warm weather and rain in the forecast we have closed the trails to try and save some base. With temps in the upper 50's coming, hopefully we can retain enough to open again once we get more snow. Conditions will update once they change.

Trails are in fair condition with some freezing happening this week. There are still holes and brown snow in most areas with regular grooming going on. Warmer temperatures are expected with rain in the forecast so it looks like the bit of riding made available was short lived.

Groomers have been out all day and night trying to set in trails. Early season conditions include water and mud, as the ground is not frozen yet. Cornfields do not have good coverage and will be very rough. Use CAUTION everywhere if you plan to ride. Signage is not 100 % as some may be missing or blown down. There may be branches under the snow and also some hanging into the trails. Please remember that we ride at the grace of our Landowners. Try not to make them unhappy. Thanks for your patience and pray for cold temps and more snow.
