I enter N.Y. on C4 trail from Pa....There are plenty of places to get gas, that should not be a problem.

That sounds good, it give me a good starting point. I'm sending in my membership to the McKean Snow Riders today. How's the food at the Valley Inn, Hopefully we'll have enough snow this weekend to give it a try. Dont worry about me patronizing the local establishment, if they're taking care of the sledders then I'll take care of them. Hows the food?

Looking at the NY map that I got with my CLSC membership it looks like there's plenty of places to get gas once your out on the trails in NY. Do you happen to know what trail your on when you enter NY?

Thanks for the information, if any one thinks of any other places to stay, eat or must see kinda things please let me know. If my wife's happy when we're done riding then she might let me come back.

Thanks Beetle for joining Mckean snowriders. I am a proad member of the club for 15+ yrs. If you come up the weekend of the jan. 16th we should be having our poker run and you would love to ride in it.

The group I ride with are from Pa., we haul to Edinboro Pa. and ride to N.Y., we found that Pine Junction is an excellent place to eat. We usually ride thru there and make a loop up thru Stockton and Cassadaga then back to Pa. There is another very good place to eat in Stockton, but I cant remember the name, it's like a hotel or something. We found the trails around the Mayville / French Creek area to usually, but not always, to be the best. Last weekend South of Mayville was decent and Pa. was really good for December riding. The farther north we went the worse it got, wound up turning around....Good luck and think SNOW !!!

Well we made it up on Monday, The President of the McKean Snowriders called us on Sunday night and recommended that we not use their trails because of the poker run the previous day, I guess they were pretty beat up. I thought that was pretty nice of him, he suggested we tow to Peak n Peak so that's what we did. We did almost the same ride that you layed out. We got gas at the Valero in Cassadaga and headed back. The trails around Mayville were terrible but were pretty good everywhere else. I guess that was to be expected after the weekend. I was impressed with how well marked the trails were. We ended up with 110 miles and never got lost. We'll be going back up as soon as there's more snow for the groomers to work with hopefully this storm will drop a bunch. Thanks

I just booked another flight so I will be up there from 2/9-2/14. I usually ride around the east side of the county, but this trip I want to hit the trails on the West side of the lake. Last month I rode 900 miles. I'm gonna try for 600. I may even leave early one day and try to make it up to The Boston Hotel in Erie County.

You can also park at Mound Grove golf course in PA. 10760 Donation RD, Waterford, PA. Its about 10 minutes off of Rte. 90, Peach st. or State st. exit, They have a large parking lot and have great food too. Also its right on the trail too.

Went for ride from French Creek to Findley Lake to Peek n Peak, then from there to North Clymer up to Panama game lands, back into Sherman. Trail a little rough from Sherman back to North Clymer....must not have gotten groomed, but overall AWESOME riding in this area this morning. Met some nice families on the trails today, a couple of Blair Morgan wanna be's :) Thanks to all of you that went out grooming Saturday night for the great ride.
