Our Mission
The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club seeks to preserve and improve snowmobiling in our community so that future generations will be able to enjoy nature through snowmobiling as generations have done in the past. Our Club, in conjunction with our neighboring clubs and the NYSSA, work toward improving trails & interacting with Private landowners to ensure that our trails remain both safe and accessible to the public.
We are also dedicated to providing a fun and safe environment for snowmobile enthusiasts to get together; both on and off the trail, at our various social gatherings throughout the year.

About Our Club
The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded over 45 seasons ago for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Our club has now grown to the largest in the state of New York with over 2300 memberships. We are located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches! Our volunteers maintain over 230+ miles of scenic trails, making our trail system one of the largest in the state. These trails also link directly to Ohio and Pennsylvania as well as to the many businesses & clubs throughout the tri-state area.
Our heated clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all CLSC members who purchase a key. The clubhouse has restrooms, mini kitchen, tables/chairs and beverages available for purchase making it a great place to stop or for parking. Our clubhouse can also be rented in the summer for a small fee, just contact the president! We offer many events throughout the season at the clubhouse to support our trail groomers.
Our club currently operates 8 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless off-season volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. We invite you to join our group of active snowmobile enthusiasts and get to know us and make this your personal trail system! Our volunteer workers actually spend over two-thousand (2,000) man-hours between Spring, Summer and into late fall. All of the before the first sign goes up and the first snowflake falls. We ask that you try and make it to one of our trail parties to assist in getting the trails ready for the season.
We are also associated with NYSSA (New York State Snowmobile Association) and have a 100% membership rate to support our voice across the state and in Albany.
Regular Meetings
Monthly meetings are held at our clubhouse at the address noted below. Everyone is welcome to these meetings to learn more about the club or to obtain information about snowmobiling if you are new to the sport.This is a good way to get to know the people behind the scenes who make the trail system what it is today. Spring/Summer (05/01 - 08/31) - 1st Wednesday of each month(Excluding July) at the clubhouse @ 7:30PM (Everyone Welcome)
Fall/Winter (09/01 - 04/30) - 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at the clubhouse @ 7:30PM (Everyone Welcome)
Year Round (01/01 - 12/31) - 1st Wednesday of each month at the clubhouse @ 6:00PM (
