E-mail us your
2-cents worth and if it does not beat us up too badly we will add it with: date
and time,
first name(s) only (no last names), and town or state.
No, you will not be able to post live, We do not have time to monitor it 24/7.
We
have seen some of the snowmobiling sites that are full of trash talk. This
club will not be a party to any of that.

"I would first like to say thanks to you and all the local clubs for your hard
work and dedication in maintaining the trail systems throughout the county.
Kudos and my gratitude to all!! Scott (he is also a member of the club as well,
I made him join!!) and myself ran hard from Northern Ohio to Chautauqua
County every weekend for about 7 weeks straight. What a pleasure!! I had a
blast, and I am pretty sure we are tired out! Again, thanks to all the clubs!!!
I mailed out a check today for $100.00 for the NYSAA Super Raffle. I am hoping
I am not too late. I also included some return address stickers thinking it
might be easier to use a sticker than write my address on 20 tickets.
Thanks for everything! Tired in Strongsville, Ohio."

am from Shawn in South Butler, PA. "Dear Chautauqua snow club, I’m a first
year member at the club and have nothing but positive things to express for my
two cents.
All visits at
the clubhouse where positive and very inviting. Pancake breakfast was a
highlight. Thanks again.
Trail
conditions were wonderful due to the weather and the constant labor of the
groomers doing the job right. Thanks to all groomers.
In general the
Chautauqua Club/area and trail system gets an A rating compared to other
areas I have snowmobile. The local restaurants are marked and label along
the trail unlike other trail systems. Trails are maintained and safe to
ride (Blind spots are labeled).
I foresee
myself and friends continuing our yearly pilgrimage to the Chautauqua area
for years of riding and fun. Thanks to all that make this a special place
to ride and enjoy the winter sports."

@ 11:44 am from George in Wexford, PA. "Thank you very
much , we rode up there for 14 hours on Saturday, trails were flat,
groomed and fast. Excellent riding, thanks for
all the hard work. Thank you."
2007-03-02 @11:58 am from George in Wexford, PA "Groomers had the trails
in excellent condition, honestly a great night of riding, smooth and fast, best
conditions in a long time, always recommend your trails with high regard, job
well done, can't wait to ride this weekend, shinysideup!"
2007-02-26 @ 09:47 am from Jim in Ohio.
"Tell the club thanks for the new snow meter that is now visible on the clubs
web cam.
It helps us out of towners see how much snow is really there."
2007-02-21 @ 5:35 pm from ? "Started at
the Shur-Fine again this am, despite warm temps yesterday, trails held up well
overnite - thanks to Tuesday's grooming. Rode trail C4 to Stockton, C4A to
S41 into Mayville (all trails in good shape) from Mayville to Sherman via C4,
S48 (excellent trail, through Mount Pleasant State Forest!) back to C4
into Clymer to French Creek (excellent ride)
some things to note: There appears to be more snow in the Mayville to
Clymer area - should hold for the next couple days. All railbeds are in
great shape from Mayville to Clymer. The back trails through the town of
Sherman are wet, melted snow, lots of dirt and pavement- be careful!
Returned via C4D back to Sherman (not recommended, started out OK but the closer
to Sherman the rougher it is) C4 back to Mayville (excellent). C4 from
Mayville to Stockton (needs grooming) C4 from Stockton back to Cassadaga Shur-Fine
(still in good to very good shape). About 130 mile loop- overall day 8 out
of 10! Thanks to all the clubs in these areas - 2 great days of riding!"
2007-02-18 @8:36 pm from John in Ohio. "We were up for
the whole weekend. Had a great time. Rough trails in areas but great to be
riding. Groomer action shot heading over to Bemus Point after the split to
Tom's Tavern. The other pic is of my wife and friends crossing bridge in
Gerry!"

12:00 am from Mike from Gibsonia, PA "I
just got back from an all day adventure that took my group from McKean, PA
through French Creek to Lake Chautauqua. When I crossed the border from Pa
to New York, the trails were like night and day. All the guys in the group
decided that we are going to drive straight to Mayville, NY next time and
unload. The trails were in unbelievable shape despite having so much
traffic on Sunday. Great job and please keep up the good work. We
will see you again on Wednesday for a day of great riding. I recommend
coming up and riding the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile trails very soon.
Thanks for the great efforts by all the groomers"
2007-02-04 @ 8:30 pm from
Scott in Cleveland "I have been a
sled owner and club member for the last 3 years. Did not get out at all last
year due to poor conditions. Took the Stockton - Mayville trail on 1-27. I
almost forgot how much damn fun this sport is! I noticed many improvements
along the way including the much improved signage. I think the road crossing
signs sponsored by local merchants is a fantastic idea. Good for the club, good
for business. The trail re-route past Dart airport was a much appreciated
improvement. And the warming huts with info and maps.... it just gets better
and better every year. Thanks to everyone who helps make this club a reality.
You guys do an awesome job! Keep up the great work"

am from Steve in Brocton. "I groomed all night and now I'm going to bed!"
2007-02-01 @ 12:08 pm from
Sandy in Pittsburgh regarding 4CB, Mayville to Brocton to Stockton. "This
trail was great – nice and smooth with hardly any riders. Glad we are finally
getting snow!!!!!! Hope all is well."
2007-02-01 @ 2:53 pm from James. "I was there riding
1/30/07 and the trails were excellent, the groomers deserve credit. Thanks for
the great riding!"
2007-01-02 @ 8:02
am from Cubby and Dewy in Willoughby, Ohio. "Dewy
and Cubby rode Wednesday 1-31-07 and had a great time. About 2 feet of
powder in some spots. I always wanted to ride deep powder like they do out
west and I got to boondock a little Wednesday afternoon. I highly
recommend a stop at Pine Junction. The food and people were awesome.
We will be back this Sunday."
2007-01-30 @ 8:20 am from John in Ohio.
I just noticed that you are thinking about putting our 2 cents in. I have been
a member of the club for quite a few years. The positive changes have been
amazing over the past few years. The trails were good before but now they are
becoming great. We are from Northeast corner of Ohio with a 1-1/2 hour drive
and make it up almost every weekend. I am very happy a speed limit has been
implemented even though I like to ride fast. I think Webb's and Snowridge do a
great job welcoming the sledders. New York and Chautauqua area specifically
make us all feel welcome. Hopefully, I can get up to help this spring and
summer and get to know some of the die hard volunteers.
2003-02-09 @ 8:22 pm from Gene
& Diana. "Great Job! I just wanted to thank you for the great trails
this season. It seems as though everything is finally coming together for CLSC. We have been riding in the area since 1980 and this is the best year
yet. The weather and trail conditions are great. We are club members and groomer supporters also.
Keep up the good work! We rode in Tug Hill after Christmas. The conditions
up there are no match for Chautauqua Lake trails, grooming and signage.
Thanks"
Some of lumber from a deck that was being replaced.
The 5/4 decking was ripped length-wise and made into sign
posts. The 2-by lumber in the picture was used to repair
the bridges between Mayville and Stockton. Donated and
brought to the clubhouse by one of our loyal members.
Know anybody replacing a deck where we can get more?
Need to do something different with the main entrance
storm door (back door).
Options are:
Place a post that will stop the storm door, but will we just
wreck the door against the post? What about walking into
the post, or hitting it with a sled?
Build an enclosure with two sides and a small roof, but what
about the outside lights? What about the web-cam?
1) Always has standing water on the sidewalk,
blocks are sinking, building is built on a concrete slab.
Not good to have standing water soaking under the
edge of a slab foundation.
Ideas?: dig out the old blocks,
pour a wider and higher cement sidewalk,
or pave it wider and higher with asphalt.
2) Would like to see a post on each side of the gas line
before somebody hits it with the tractor or snowplow.
Need to get the sign re-done to match our current club logo.
Clean it up, paint it, get a couple more stickers like those
on the groomers and put one on each side.
