The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded over 40 seasons ago for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches, its volunteers maintain over 200 miles of scenic trails. These are linked to local service businesses and other clubs in the county. Our clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all CLSC members and has comfort facilities as well as a mini kitchen.

Our club currently operates 8 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm September through April, and the 1st Wednesday May through August. There are fun family activities from dinner rides to bonfires throughout the season for everyone that wants to have fun in the snow. Trails Closed
Trails are currently closed due to the warm weather. Some base is still left however some areas are totally mud and impassable. With the temperatures forecast to be near 60 and rain through the weekend, trails will remain closed unless we receive a surprise snowstorm with enough snow to bring back a base. If the trails reopen this year we will post a message here, if not we look forward to seeing you in the fall.

Items Needed For Our Clubhouse
We still need a 220 volt air compressor for the clubhouse and a vending machine for candy/pop. As most of you know we run on the honor system for candy and pop in our clubhouse refrigerator. This system hasn’t been working as we’ve only been collecting 50 dollars for every 100 we spend on refreshments. We’re currently looking for a candy vending machine or a newer more energy efficient pop machine. We would love a donation but would consider buying one for cheap if you have one available.
