TRAILS OPEN - CONDITIONS VERY GOOD

Welcome to Snowmobiling In Chautauqua New York

The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded in 1968 for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches, its volunteers maintain over 200 miles of scenic trails. These are linked to local service businesses and other clubs in the county. Our clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all 2300+ CLSC members and has comfort facilities as well as a mini kitchen.

Our club currently operates 9 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. There are fun family activities from dinner rides to bonfires throughout the season for everyone. We invite you to join our group of active snowmobile enthusiasts and get to know us and make this your personal trail system! Click Here To Join Our Club

Club Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm September through April, and the 1st Wednesday May through August. We welcome everyone to attend these meetings.

TRAILS OPEN - CONDITIONS VERY GOOD
Trails are open and in very good condition with an outstanding base over most of the trail system. Groomers are working very hard to keep everything groomed and the equipment running. We have had multiple groomers break down over the busy month, but things are finally getting back to normal. Temps are forecasted to stay cool for the foreseeable future so get out and ride and stay safe!

While CLSC holds a position of never riding on the lake due to unforeseen dangers, there has been an advisory issued for all sleds to stay off the lake. Due to the heavy amounts of snow, ice conditions are poor in spots with very deep snow and slush. We have already lost multiple sleds so please don’t let it be a life we lose next!

Stateline Speedway - Round II - 2/28
We have appreciated everybody's feedback and are excited to make improvements for our next winter racing event on 2/28 on both the Oval and Drag strip. There are quite a few changes being made that are designed to speed up the program. Gates open at 9am, racing at 11!

Stateline is accessible via the CLSC snowmobile trail 52. Follow the trail toward Busti and turn south onto shadyside rd. Continue on the edge of the road to Lawson rd and then turn right and then quick left onto sanbury rd. Stateline is at the corner of sanbury and kortwright. A left turn on kortwright. Check your map for roads and directions. YOU MUST STAY ON TRAIL, FOLLOW SIGNS AND ON SANBURY ROAD, MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW SIGNS, ONE LANDOWNER IS WATCHING AND WILL PRESS TRESPASSING CHARGES, AND HAS THREATENED HARM. PLEASE STAY ON TRAIL AND THE ROAD ON SANBURY RD. We have confirmation from the town that they will allow the road travel and not bother the riders. Any questions please call 716-450-4000.

Pink Panthers Vintage Ride
Registration ($10) for the ride is 10:00 am February 28, 2015 at Pine Junction, ride is from 10-2. The run is around the greater Findley Lake area - stops in Findley Lake, Peek'n Peak and French Creek Tavern - return to Pine Junction. The 'loop' is roughly 16 miles in some of the prettiest trails of the CLSC system. Sled registration is waived for the event via a special permit pass by the State of NY. Show registration is noon and goes from 1-5. This is a fun filled event and a great fundraiser for families or individuals suffering from serious health conditions.  Park in Findley Lake - north of the Hardware store at Richard's Sled storage. Ride to Pine Junction to Register - this will help alleviate some of the congestion for the show.

Free Registration Weekend (3/7 - 3/8) / Boy Scouts Pancake Breakfast (3/7)
The free snowmobiling event will take place on the weekend of March 7-8. During this weekend any out of state rider can ride in NY registration free so long as you have insurance and valid registration from your home state. Please use this opportunity to visit local businesses on the trail and see what this great state has to offer during the winter season.

We have decided not to have our Annual All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the clubhouse. Instead we are supporting the Boy Scouts who are having their breakfast at the Chautauqua Suites. Their event will be held on 3/7 from 7-11AM. Exit C-4 Mayville at Webb's sign and continue to the Suites! Snowmobiles Welcome.
