Welcome to Snowmobiling In Chautauqua New York

The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded in 1968 for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches, its volunteers maintain over 200 miles of scenic trails. These are linked to local service businesses and other clubs in the county. Our clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all 2300+ CLSC members and has comfort facilities as well as a mini kitchen.

Our club currently operates 9 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. There are fun family activities from dinner rides to bonfires throughout the season for everyone. We invite you to join our group of active snowmobile enthusiasts and get to know us and make this your personal trail system! Click Here To Join Our Club

Club Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm September through April, and the 1st Wednesday May through August. We welcome everyone to attend these meetings.

Volunteers Needed!

Help get our trails ready for the season and get Bonus Cards for your hard work.  Bring your 4-wheelers, chain saws, or just come and help clear brush, and post trail signs with us.

Lunch is usually provided, contact Rodney Sandburg @ clscvp@chautauquasnow.com
to get on a scheduled work party. Those who work 15 hours on the trails will receive a 10% Bonus Program Gold Card, and those who work 25 or more hours will earn a 15% Platinum Card. This program makes it easy for the membership and businesses to share the costs of trail maintenance.
TRAIL STATUS - Closed due to warm weather/rain (Updated: 1/10/16 @ 5:30PM)

Trails are closed at this time due to warm weather & rain.  If you are on the trail system tonight(1/10) we ask that you get off as soon as possible.  We will update the the site once conditions change.  More rain and warm weather is in the forecast so the long range outlook does not look good at this time.
