July 1st meeting re-scheduled to July 8th

The next club meeting normally scheduled for July 1st is being re-scheduled for July 8th

Open House: Saturday afternoon, May 30, 20009

There is a new company building two models of snowmobiles to fill the gap between the Kitty-Cat / 120cc size and the full size 500cc (and up) that we all ride.
Got kid(s) big enough and old enough to ride out on the trails with you? But that 120cc snowmobile needs to remain in the back yard and your kid is not ready for even a 500cc snowmobile, much less your 140 hp monster.
None of the 4 major manufacturers makes an in-between size, so it is not in competition with them.
Scott Shapert from the Pittsburgh area has been working with Chris Bell, President and CEO of Premier to bring a demonstrator sled to our clubhouse on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm (or later).
This is your chance to see the sled in person with time for questions and answers.
This is an open house and we are inviting all interested parties (dealers, members, and other clubs too) who would like to be one of the first to see this sled. New company, new sled, great idea, and a breath of fresh air into our sport.
We will be one of the first groups to see this new and exciting product.
This is a real honor and a credit to our club!
Look at the company for yourself. Click on the link in the next article below on this page for their website.

Possible 2009 Raffle (Interested: Yes, No, Maybe?)

This possible raffle is under consideration. What is it?

Definately not a toy:      (click on image for larger picture)

We can get one in June and raffle it off the day before the trails open in December.
Imagine getting a brand new 4-stroke snowmobile for your not so small kid(s) or your travel-size significant other just in time for the trails to open!
So far this is all speculation. What do you think? Should we do it?
Raffle tickets (1 for $5) or (3 for $10) like usual?
