Welcome to Snowmobiling In Chautauqua New York

The Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club was founded in 1968 for the purpose of making a local trail system that was both safe and enjoyable. Located in the western-most part of New York State where the average annual snowfall exceeds 250 inches, its volunteers maintain over 200 miles of scenic trails. These are linked to local service businesses and other clubs in the county. Our clubhouse, located on Hannum Rd. in Mayville, NY, is available to all 2300+ CLSC members and has comfort facilities as well as a mini kitchen.

Our club currently operates 9 Class “A” Groomers and expends countless volunteer hours preparing the trails for snow. There are fun family activities from dinner rides to bonfires throughout the season for everyone. We invite you to join our group of active snowmobile enthusiasts and get to know us and make this your personal trail system! Click Here To Join Our Club

Club Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm September through April, and the 1st Wednesday May through August. We welcome everyone to attend these meetings.

TRAILS CLOSED
Trails are closed at this time do to warm temperatures and rain. Forecast doesn’t look good for the rest of the season because of the ground softening. It has been a great season with over a month of outstanding riding conditions. Thank you to all the members for supporting the club over the year and the volunteers who donate their time to keep the trail system open and functional. We also appreciate the landowners for being so gracious and letting us use their land each year.

CLUB ELECTIONS 4/1 AT CLUB MEETING
Looking for nominations for officers and board of director positions. Please think about lending your expertise to our efforts. Please contact any board member or officer with questions or interested parties.

POKER RUN UPDATE
We would like to thank everyone that participated in this years 5th annual poker run. The poker run raised over $2200 for needed medical equipment on the air ambulance of Chautauqua County. Special thanks goes out to the Lakewood Kiwanis, Ellery Sno Cruisers, Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile club and the Vikings Ingjald Lodge # 65. The day was one of the coldest of the season for riders with temps well below zero, but it was heart warming to see the turn out of riders from NY, PA and Ohio.
